Does this sound like endo?

I am new here, but I have to say how thankful that I am for everyone who posts. it makes me feel so much less crazy...because others are going through it.

Growing up I had terrible periods. I started early, when I was 10...and I remember being 11 years old with a golfball size clot. That was scary then...but then clots and bleeding were always heavy growing up. ALthough I could wear tampons in high school, it was really painful cramping that sent me home. My mother took me to the dr but they didn't get it and just told her to give me motrin and magnesium.

Now as an adult, I have had 6 children. The PAIN is almost non-existent though since having children. Which I think is weird but normal for endo?

after my 5th child was born (march 2015), things started getting really bad. I had all my babies at home, but after the 5th, I needed to be rushed to the hospital because I was hemorrhaging. I had retained membranes and the midwife couldn't pull them out no matter what. I had to have a d&C. I didn't have any cycles for quite a while. In fact, I only had one before my 6th was conceived (around 9 months later). This was unusual for me because regardless of nursing, I started my cycles a month or so after each of my other babies. During this time, I had EXTREME depression and anxiety. I attributed it to something we were going through as a family, but it was almost unbearable.

The 6th baby (oct 2016), I AGAIN had retained membranes and had to be rushed to the hospital. My cycle came back after about 6 months. bleeding became INCREDIBLE afterwards. Flooding like I have never experienced. I have a constant (but not terrible) ache on my right side (ovary location).

I nursed her until Nov of 2018. I had to stop BECAUSE I was having incredible symptoms. The first symptom I noticed in the summer of 2018....It was anxiety. Like I can't even have an entire conversation if there is an inkling of negativity. Or the stress of hearing my children running around happily was astounding. I called a dr and she suggested my thyroid but I didn't check it. I started running. And it helped tremendously.

october 2018 was extreme fatigue. And then my legs. Oh my legs. They became so weak. I love to run, and I would get 1/2 mile out for my 3 mile run and have to stop. It happened very quite suddenly. My bowel movements have been pretty loose since the summer of 2018..about when the anxiety started.

I had some blood tests run in october (and now) and my thyroid is normal. My ferritin levels in october were quite low as were my vit d levels. I have since gotten them back up with diet and supplements. but I feel like i have to take too much iron for my ferritin to stay stable (probably from heavy menstrual bleeding).

My blood pressure is pretty low (110/65 as low as 90/55). but my heart rate is VERY low (resting 46-58). This alarms me.

so in January 19 I had saliva hormone panel done. Everything was very low. I am a smidge estrogen dominant, but even my estrogens are super low. testosterone...low. Progesterone....VERY low. Cortisol....low.

I started seeing my gyno in Feb. I actually went to the emergency room because my stomach bloated so much it looked like I was 6 months pregnant. I was truthfully scared because I've never experienced that before.

They did an ultrasound. My uterus was a bit "bulky" but not huge. He said because I have had so many babies, it isn't alarming. no fibroids. one complex cyst on my left ovary (but my right is the one that bothers me). because I have endo that runs in my family (my other had complete hysterectomy at 29), he is going to do a laparoscopy. He wants to do a uterine ablasion at the same time.

My feeling though, is that I'm done having babies and I'd rather him just TAKE OUT my uterus. But what if he gets in there and it's nothing. This high anxiety....and depression...and heart rate stuff...and bloated belly...the fatigue. The stress intolerance...my legs being weak (the worst thing). It makes me feel like I'm crazy. I know there is something wrong.

Please tell me your thoughts. Am I crazy? Should I look somewhere else? Anyone ever hear of leg weakness?

You can have endo without tons of pain right?

Hey Elizabethsingler,

I have found the one and main thing endometriosis causes is infertility, so I think that's probably why they have ruled that out for you. I agree if you're convinced it's your uterus causing the issues and you've had your fair share of kids, I think you should have a right to decide what happens to your body.

I am taking the medication they give you after a hysterectomy to keep you level, the main symptoms are leg cramps so that would drive you mad. Gives you a higher chance of a blood clot too so I agree with the consultant it's best to hold onto it for as long as you can.

Have you ever tried having a coil? It might help settle everything down.
