No sign of period after laparoscopy procedure. Is this usual?

Hi ladies, I just wondered if anyone here has had a laposcopy but didn't have anything lasered off/treated? If so, when did you get to see someone after the surgery/outcomes? I had dye and a biopsy of a cyst and they've referred me to a fertility specialist. So still waiting for that as will be at a different hospital. I just wondered also what happened with your first period. I am not sure if am going to have one as had cramps since mid last week and no signs of arriving. Wondered if this is common? Any advice/experience is welcomed. Thank you

Had my lap on March 4.... I didn't get my period til this morning. Was supposed to have one after my surgery, but it didn't arrive til today. I'm sure it will come, I also felt the cramping about a week ago.

Thank you. I have been cramping since last week, when my AF is normally due. So will just wait and see what happens.

Hi there!

Yes it is very usual! I didn’t know because i had 3 laparoscopies before, I had my last one last Feb after having my lap I had my period one week after the surgery it was due on anyway... but then the next period came 15 days later ! The doctor told me that the uterus gets into a shock after such surgery but it will settle down eventually... xx

My period after my laparoscopy was nearly 2 weeks late - it got there in the end so don’t panic
