Good morning.
since my lap I have been sleeping awfully! I wake up over 5 times a night and feel really nauseas then just can't sleep!
I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a side effect of the anesthetic/surgery?
Happy Sunday xx

Hi, I didn't sleep at all well until about a week after my lap - couldn't get comfy and woke up every couple of hours! I didnt have any nausea though. Once I could start sleeping on my side after about 6 days I started sleeping much better! Am now 10 days post lap and feel like I'm getting better sleep at night though I'm still so tired!!
Hopefully another few nights and it will get better!

Perfect Thankyou! I'm hoping it will be better next week!
It's still slightly sore to sleep on my side but I'm slowly getting there! I think I have had enough sleeping on my back! Xx
Yes I'm sure it will be much better soon! I don't like sleeping on my back so I was so pleased the first night I could sleep on my side - it's still slightly uncomfortable at times but better than not!!
Hope your recovery goes well, I went for my first half hour walk with hubby and dog this morning, felt so good but I'm tired now!!xxx
Good for you! They say at first things like that will be exhausting! But I think it's about forcing yourself to do things like get up and walk about etc
I've managed to put on a bit of makeup and done a bit of washing up with has made me feel a lot better! Xx
Ah you are doing well!! At the beginning of the week a shower was wearing me out! I've had a urine infection as well so I think that has knocked me a bit as well as op etc!
Walk and shower this morning has left me tired but as you say, it's going to be tiring at first and just got to carry on doing extra bits each day until back to normal. Shall leave the hubby to do the washing for now lol

Yes sounds like a good idea! I've been getting my other half to do the house work! He's been finding it difficult to say the least! Haha
Well I hope you have a speedy recovery! And makesure the hubby has a nice cup of tea waiting for you when needed xx
Yes mine has too - bless him, working full time, dog to walk, dinner and housework when he gets home and he is a busy man! Sure I'll be back to normal soon though.
Thank you, hope that you continue to recover well too and enjoy some peace and quiet! I know when I am back to work that life just goes back to busy busy so need to enjoy sitting down while I can - hard though as all I wanna do is walk dog, do bits round house and get back to work lol xxx
Hi, it's very early days, some people react like this to the anesthetic, I would suggest you take naps when ever you can, and rest well, small walks could help, the GP may prescribe some anti sickness tabs, if your still feeling this in morning.
Good luck and rest
Xx
Thankyou! I'm feeling fine today it's only at night I start to feel nauseas, so I'm unsure why?
But I keep taking gentle walks around the house and garden etc which is nice! I would go mental if I was sofa bound for any longer!
Yes I will call my GP tomorrow and see if she can suggest anything for me!
Thankyou xx
It can be - try peppermint tea or fizzy water for the nausea.
Ask you gp for cyclizine - it will stop the nausea and also make you sleepy, win win x
