Just had my appointment with my gynae dr, they have booked me in for a Hysteroscopy for polyp removal and Laparoscopy, plus inserting the mirena coil all in 1 surgery.
Although I am really happy to finally get a laparoscopy I am a little worried. The leaflet they provided me says 2/3 days recovery but looking through all your posts this seems to be more like 2/3 weeks, can you advise what the normal recovery is?
Thank you

I'm still recovering from mine (been 7 days now). My consultant said to expect pain for up to 2 weeks and that I could resume driving when I felt well enough i.e the pain didn't affect my driving and I wasn't on too much pain relief that it would also affect my driving abilities. I think the 2-3 days is standard laparoscopy but with endo they must have a more thorough look about I reckon. I know I went down to theatre at 12.05pm and was woken in recovery at 2.20pm but I also had an ablation performed.
