Ok so i'm slow, really slow, snails probably move faster, but the first run of week 3 is done, and I enjoyed it!! Week 9 still seems a life time away, but I can already feel a difference! But how hard is week 4 going to be????

I could have written this myself! I did week 3 run 1 yesterday morning and on WalkJogRun.net, found that I'd gone about 2/3 of my usual distance. Was obviously taking 'light jog' very seriously!

When I did week 1, no way could I have run for 3 mins, so I reckon by this, when we do week 6, we'll be thinking 'when I did week 3....', and so on to week 9!

Well done :-)

You're so right! I'm on W8 and, puffing along, I think 'I'm so unfit and not getting any fitter' then I think back to the earlier weeks and a minutes running was really hard going! We can do it!

Your right you will suprise yourself, just think what week 1 was like , i was sooooo slow and im not much faster now but i get around the course and i did a 5K park run last sat at york race course and I did ok. You will be running for 30 min before you know it good luck with the rest of the pod casts.

Lol. I'm exactly the same. Did w3 r3 this morning and have started wondering with more than a little trepidation what w4 r1 will be like on saturday.

But us snails will get there, I'm sure. Speed is something we can work on later, I'm just happy to be jogging for 3 mins, I couldn't have done that a couple of weeks ago.

So it's onwards and upwards.

Good luck for future runs.

Well done! I am starting Week 3, run 1 on my next run. I found Week 2 pretty good, except when I ran after a long day at work. Also, the first 2-3 sets of running are harder than the last 2-3, don't underestimate the warm up! Good luck, I'll be joining you in Week 3 soon!

I'm off out in half an hour to do w3r3, and still can't believe I managed to run for 3 minutes! If it helps I thought the second run in week 3 was easier than the first one - though who knew 3 minutes could go on for so long ;-)

I restarted week 3 today too! I had rather achy knees a couple of weeks back after wk3 r2, so I decided to stop and let them feel better. It took about 10 days, then I started with a wk1 run followed by a wk 2, 2 days later and today a wk 3 and all is good so far and I'm feeling proud. Plan to do wk3r2 on saturday and r3 on Monday. Haven't even thought about wk 4 yet as didn't think I'd get this far!

Well done to everyone, we'll all get to be graduates!

Well done on W3. I started W4 this week and I'm not going to lie, this is the first week that I have struggled. However I have managed to push through and both times have felt soooo good after I've done it.

I think the posts on here are right, at the moment I'm struggling with W4 and already looking ahead to W5 thinking 'no way can I run even further' when actually I should be thinking, on W1 I couldn't run for more than 60 seconds and now I can run for 5 mins, and 16 mins in total, it was only 8 mins in total in W1.

Each week will be harder but if you've got to W3 and complete it then you will definately be able to complete W4 and so on, just take it a week at a time and you'll graduate no worries ;-)
