A real fail! No contest!

Struggled out of bed, very reluctantly, into my kit and out of the door.

Around the corner and was stopped in my tracks by the wind.

I'm sorry, but I turned around and came back into the house. It is due to drop this afternoon so I might go out then, though this is always an issue for me.

So I've done a pile of washing and washing up as penance.

I know, it won't do. What a wuss!

Let's hope you get that run Sheps, it's not pleasant at all running against the wind, no failure as it wasn't a race, good luck for your run whatever the distance you run.

You're very kind to be so non-judgemental. The run will still be there when I do it.

Hey - I had rosemary bathing as my excuse, bad winds sound like no excuse to me but a real issue and I agree with you afternoon runs are discombobulating....

Not wussy at all.

The runs will be there whenever you want them.

Lol! Looking forward to your next run report.

And next time the weather tries to keep you indoors, here is a song playlist to commiserate with you about the windy weather : open.spotify.com/playlist/5...

Wishing you less windy weather for this afternoon’s run.

Hmmmm not doing one run does not constitute a fail!

I say this sitting totally blissed out from an unexpected ’ yin/yang ‘ yoga and a sound bath and not having run this morning!

Have you decided to stop running?

I think I’m correct in saying you haven’t, right?

As long as ‘tomorrow tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, you’re only a day away’ isn’t part of your playlist (as in tomorrow never comes!) you’re good!

We’re good!

When the wind slaps you in the face like that the best thing to do is run when the wind has died down, there's no failure at all, just being sensible, the run will be there patiently waiting for you when the weather is kinder

way too hard on yourself!

Be kind - I’ve read you’re a graduate sooooooooo…. That is no small feat!

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again when you’re ready.

We all have off days and this was one..

I’ve not ran for a few years now because work is so full on and I’ve got new grandchildren too but I do miss it. I loved the feel good factor but like you was always hard on myself.

Do me a favour, next time you are out running, take a few strides fir me… and do it with a big smile on your face

👍💕😀

Good luck

Not a failure at all! Sometimes we all get that feeling and it’s ok to turn back for home. I had the yesterday; my headphones had a dodgy connection, I hadn’t eaten any breakfast so I felt weak and I still had a persistent cough so I turned round after about 1k! There’ll be other runs… and in the meantime I intend to treat myself to some AirPods!

Not wussy at all - and if😂 the wind doesn't drop I have two piles of washing that need doing!

Whoohooo, so you went today 😃

Now I want to see some grandiose enthusiasm for that brilliant success!

I have rewritten your original post, turning all your negatives into positives, and think you should give yourself a much deserved pat on the back for today's success😉

I hope you do, and feel as brilliant as you should for today's victory! 🥳🔥

So here goes your post:

Jumped out of bed, with great anticipation, into my kit and out of the door.

Around the corner and was fired up by the wind.

I'm so proud I did not turn around and raced along into a good rhythm. Even though it is due to drop this afternoon, I still went out even though I could have stayed in and done more washing.

So I've still to do a pile of washing and some washing up but I don't care because I went out and did my run.

I know, this is so cool. What a hero!

😉😜🔥🥳
