Week 1 run 3

Today was my 3rd run on the program. I ran out in the park (it's around 28.8 degrees C [84F]) and something amazing happened: I completed the run!!!! I did slow WAY down during some of the running segments, but I didn't walk. I do have a sneaking suspicion that the app might have skipped a run. It was malfunctioning a bit today. But I could have done that too. I was slow as molasses, but I ran 1.1km (0.68 miles) today. I'm happy!!!! I did repeat the first run of week 1 when I couldn't pull it off, but if I can run the full w1 program on Saturday I will go on to week 2 almost on schedule! One question for experienced runners: do you often come home after a run and get chills? Too funny.

Definitely - it doesn't matter how warm I am after a run, I cool down very quickly afterwards. How on earth you can run in those temperatures though I will never know! Very well done. :) Keep it up and you will soon start to reap the benefits.

Yeah, the heat certainly adds to the challenge. At least it wasn't humid too - that's worse. We get both extremes of weather here. Hopefully that - and the hills - toughens me up. 😻😎

No chance of getting chills here - the temperatures are over 20°C before I get out at for my run at 7.30 a.m.... I glow all the way home :)

I've just read your post again. You run in 29°C? You're a nutter! Is it cooler in the morning? Maybe it'd be better to run then.

My problem is that I have to be at work early in the morning. I also have about a half an hour drive to get there. Basically I 'm up at 5 every morning already. Getting out at 4-4:30 am dors not appeal lol.

That does complicate matters. How about a Cinderella run at midnight? :D

No probs - one swish of Mfam's magic wand and *ZAP! POW!* A brand new pair of Asics with flashing lights :D
