I’m W3 too - doing R3 tomorrow. Well done to you! I don’t know anything about breathing technique, doesn’t seem to be an issue yet. I kind of just do what comes naturally. As for technique, well Michael said something about not bobbing up and down too much (added impact and wasted energy, makes sense) so I’ve been trying to run more smoothly. I’ve slowed down a lot following advice on this forum. I’m 66 and never run before, but also pleased at how it’s going so far. I make sure to do some stretches at the end. Kind of wished I hadn’t looked ahead to see what’s coming! Good luck, sounds like we’ve both got this!
Yes. While I’m thinking about and planning my runs, congratulating myself on every small achievement, thinking about buying shoes & clothes to wear while running 😀 I manage to forget for a few moments about my depression. And running is so liberating, especially early on a sunny morning! Fabulous.
Awesome news, well done! Sounds like you have this sorted, great attitude. I like the thinking of less runs. That goes through my head when I run now 😊
I really hate hills and my circuit route has one so I do that on my warm up and not really hit it again running, I walk quickly when it’s coming up if it’s a break so I can get it over with before I start running again.
You’ve reached the enjoyment stage, that is an achievement, can’t say I’m there yet but look forward to it 😂
