Week 1 Run 3 - Done!

So, Friday came and I had planned my last run of the week.

The weather was a little bit chilly but I felt pretty positive as I laced up my trainers. I put an extra layer around my neck to keep me warm and started my 5 minute brisk walk.

2 minutes in and the sun started shining. Almost like a reward to me for actually getting out and doing the 3 runs for the week.

It was hard going, I won't lie. My legs felt very heavy and at times it felt like a bit of a struggle. But I persevered until finally I heard Laura's voice telling me I had finished and to do my 5 minute brisk walk to finish. Woo Hoo!!! Week 1, Run 3 done, I actually did it. I actually completed my first week!!

I forced myself to go out even when I didn't want to, I carried on even when my legs felt like logs being lifted up and yet I'm looking forward to Week 2.

Ok, it's only week 1 and there are another 8 weeks to go, but I feel proud of my achievement last week. I can see the future when I am 'running' for half and hour and I'm eager to get there and I know this plan will help me reach my goal.

Well done...great news! I’m due to do my wk 1 run 3 today so will see how my legs feel...not going to take the dog though. As I know he’ll want to sniff everything when I need to run! Good luck! 👏🏻👏🏻

You're right! I've done something other than sit on the couch so that's a big thing for me ☺

We'll done.

Finishing the week feels great, doesn't it?

It is definitely an achievement, building consistency and a habit.

I start week 2 tomorrow, trying to work out when to go out, as I have to work late.
