just finished my 1st stamina run not the greatest distance in 40 mins but I’m not bothered just happy I completed and now know what to expect next time. Truth be told I didn’t find it that much harder than the 30 min runs
Stamina run: just finished my 1st stamina run... - Couch to 5K
Stamina run
🍏 👏 Good work!! Always a good feeling to tick these runs off! Well done! 👍
Once you reach a certain level of fitness, adding on a few minutes to a run doesn’t feel much harder when you’re taking it at a nice steady pace. It’s such a nice position to be in, thinking “it’s only an extra km/ten minutes/whatever” when that was such a massive deal when you started out. A great sign of progression!
Have you thought about coming over to Bridge to 10k? There’s a weekly quest where you set your own goals and get support/accountability. You don’t have to commit to running 10k!! There’s lots of ideas for what post couch to 5k running could look like there too. Have a browse and see what you think!
I would be thrilled if I could do that pace - well done you!
Gosh I think that’s a very good distance for 40 minutes! 10:48/Mi seems fast to me! Well done you.
I did that run at parkrun today. Was so pleased with myself that I finished it.
