Did Run 1 last Tuesday morning - went really well mainly because I was a bit wary after reading it catches people out after the glory of finishing Wk 5 Run 3. So I didn't get cocky and went bit slower and it was all lovely so was relieved that went well.
Run 2 on Thursday morning was totally different story. Really struggled around 10 minute mark (listening to music so forgot there was a 3 minute walking break!!!!!) despite doing my 'tap, tap, tap' slow jog but managed to breathe deep and kept going but it was a slog. Felt tired and had to dig deep to finish and didn't get my usual flood of endorphins. Not sure why either so put it down to a bad run and decided to put it behind me but was wary thinking about Run 3 Saturday which was 25 mins. Re-read the FAQ's on C25k.
Run 3 Got up at 5.45 after an early night. Water, banana and pep talk to myself and I left the house determined to have a brilliant run. And I did! I slowed down from the start and kept checking with myself every couple of minutes if I could carry on a conversation (thanks to the brilliant advice I got on here). Then the magic happened and it felt easier. I found my pace and breezed through the 10 minute mark and I knew I had itπ
It was a glorious morning just Laura, the sunshine and the birds to keep me company. When I came up the 25 min mark I could feel the rush of endorphins and did my happy dance to Lizzo "Baby how you feelin'? Feelin' good as hell!!" π€©π
Then I played the podcast to listen to Laura during the cool down walk and was absolutely thrilled to hear Laura say that now I'm officially a 'runner'! ππ₯° what a feeling! what a run!! Definitely my best run to dateβ€οΈ
