Well I managed the 1st and 2nd runs of week 6 OK and said goodbye to the last of the interval runs. The 3rd run is 25 minutes non stop but I managed the 20 minute one at the end of week 5 so felt pretty confident. Just kept telling myself to keep a steady pace and not go too fast at the start. Got into my rhythm, passed the halfway mark and then Laura told me I'd 5 minutes left. Approached the hill and mentally dropped down a gear but in no time the hill was conquered. I knew then I'd got this in the bag and when Laura said pick the pace up for the last minute I thought why not and opened up for the last 60 seconds!!
Never thought 6 weeks ago I'd be at this stage and amazed how I feel my fitness has improved at 60 years of age and not really run at all since school.
Roll on Week 7.....ππ
