Well having been turned inside out by a nasty Bug and losing 14 lb of weight in two week, my Grandson and daughter convinced me that if at 76 to recover, I was going to have to do a lot of work. So ordered some Whey protein and some weights. So some gentle weight training plus gentle runs. After two weeks of this I have regained some of my stamina and my mojo came for a 30 min run this morning, nothing special but under 8 mins per kilometer so it looks like the medication is working. Now this might not work for other people but its working for me. So sometimes you just got to listen to your family because they know you best.

Well done! The extra things you have done have obviously helped you get your mojo back. And you’re faster than me, dammit! 🤣

Huge well done to you... I empathise... having lost a lot of weight over issues in the last few years.

I got back to 8 stone..., then Covid at Christmas knocked me back again! I am 73. Just got back to 8st 2lbs this last week!

We do have to build back gently and use strategies to help us do that. Muscle needs building up and muscle tone. I use Yoga and a daily exercise regime...wight training and walking too.

A really healthy eating regime with the right food to put the weight on healthily. Some core strength and stamina work will help too... Check out this post:)

Listen to those who support you and listen to your body too :)

Very well done you!

Oh my goodness hamit, you’ve been through it lately haven’t you? I’m glad to hear the mojo is making a return - all the best for a speedy recovery. At that pace you’re far speedier already than I’ll ever be!

It’s wonderful you’ve got such a supportive family. Taking recovery seriously is a really good plan. I’ve been injured and my physio has sent me to what I call the “scary section” of Holland and Barrett to invest in some things to help my muscles after workouts! I think it’s helped. Hopefully you’ll soon be seeing the benefits of doing extra strength work too.

Keep on updating and we’re all wishing you well.
