Well got up a reasonable time for a run. Looked out and water was falling from the sky, so I wimped out. At 76 I am a fair weather runner so what to do?

So.....

1. 45 mins weight training.

2. Found the Boston Marathon on Youtube and run on the spot for the last 5k, around 30 mins.

3. Large cup of black coffee.

4. Job done and its still raining!

🍏☔️ 🏃‍♂️ ☕️ Now that’s what I call using your initiative, being innovative & having fun, all at the same time.!!! Excellent way to get the run done ✅ Hopefully those who are struggling to get out in the never ending rain & want to hide out in an ark rather than run, will be inspired!!! Well done 👍

Well done for adapting and finding something that worked. Great workout too. What does your strength session include? I’m always interested in what other people do. It’s clearly keeping you in tip too shape!

Ok, Dumbbells. 12 reps of each. Four sets. So that's 84 exercises in all for one set.

Curl.

Bench Press.

Bench press wide

Triceps Extensions.

Dumbell Fly.

Curl, normal plus wide.

Lateral Raise.

Enough for an old Guy.😁

Forgot to say, all exercises identified and counted by the Garmin watch...makes it easy to tra ck.

That’s awesome! You ran!

From my own experience I would suggest when running indoors to wear running shoes. Running barefoot on hard surfaces - when you are not used to it - can really exercise your muscles in your feet. If one wants to be able to run barefoot, the 10% rule applies, starting with 5 minutes. It’s just surprisingly unlike running with shoes outside. (Of course this only is true if you don’t usually run in barefoot shoes)

So doubly awesome! Make sure to take it slow!

Thanks, yes wear shoes. Slow and steady is the way to go. BTW My father used to run bear foot on the old cinder running tracks way back.
