Keeping going in the cold.

Ah well as mentioned in other posts I have nailed my mojo to the floor. After discussions with it about the temperature outside being minus 2 centigrade and that being 75 I should give the run a wave, we split the difference and I did a run on the spot for 25 mins to a youtube 5k in Chicago. Strava reported 219 calories used and heart rate pushed up so not a waste of time this morning. Yes I know Garmin readings are a bit ifee for this type of activity but its better than nothing and keeps me going in the cold and wet months.

Wise decision, especially with the icy pavements we have here at the moment! Really treacherous and not worth risking an injury, which would only delay our runs even more! Hopefully it will thaw after the weekend and we can get back out there!

Well after having a very bad running fall in good weather it makes me doubly cautious in bad weather.

Thanks but I am 75 not 73, amazing what Youtube has on it. I did a search for vertual runs. 5ks 10ks marathons you name it. Did a run across one of New Yorks bridges the other day. The bigger the screen the better I was given an old 60 inch plasma and purchased an amazon firestick so I could get youtube on it.
