week 9 run 3 done :-)

I finished my C25K alone, on a dark raining night on the cycle path next to the recycling centre that has become my inner city route for the last few weeks… I had imagined a glory and trumpets triumphant finish in the mountains with a beautiful sunset but sometimes ‘real’ life is just not like that lol. Nevertheless I have a huge grin on my face and I just wanted to thank and acknowledge everyone on this forum - I have been reading about everyone’s different experiences and it has really helped to feel connected to a great community - I might even describe myself as a ‘runner’ now!

.Jonboy72 Laying in bed this morning listening to the wind pummeling the South Wales coast I was finding every reason not to run, even my wife joined in. Then I read your post, donned my trainers and got on with it. THANKS FOR INSPIRING ME 😁 C25k finished 😂

Fantastic Jonboy72. It's a great achievement and only you can know how beneficial it's been to your cardiovascular system, so the celebration should be largely personal. In my book and from everything I've read about this journey you are definitely a runner. Not sure what distance you covered but I can now run the 5k in 37 minutes. That's 3.1 miles old money. I would never have taken a bet I could run THREE miles continuously let alone to catch a bus! 💪💪💪
