Week 9 Run 3 done!

I thought I might die in Week 1 - 60 seconds running seemed was horrible - but I have just completed the final run of week 9. And I had to divert from my usual route as a dog-walker shouted a warning that her dog was very aggressive, which meant the last two minutes were up a steep hill rather than my usual steady downhill 'sprint' to the finish. But I've done it. And it feels great!

Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.

This guide to post C25K running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

I think I would have strong words for someone telling me their dog was aggressive.............. don't get me started........

Keep running, keep smiling.

Congratulations. If the dog is very aggressive I’d suggest she should have it on a short lead at the very least... some people really get my goat. Celebrate well then enjoy consolidation and all your future running adventures

I do normally have very strong words with people who can't or won't control their dogs, especially as my dog - who is also my running companion - is well-trained and a bit of a coward, but I didn't want to stop running to talk to her! If I see her again, I will certainly let her know what I think.

Can’t stop that graduation run just to talk to an idiot for sure. Some people shouldn’t have dogs.

Fantastic! What are your plans for future runs?

I'm averaging 4.3k in 30 minutes (running on forest tracks and paths with a lot of ups and downs) so after the recommended consolidation runs, my target is to work on my speed and see if I can reach the magic 5k in 30 mins. Also planning to try a parkrun with my son, though I do love running on my own.

Isn’t it amazing when you started the program & never quite believing you can do it but 9 weeks later you can run for 30 minutes. Well done.
