Graduation run completed. Feeling utterly elated π Not the easiest but I've come to learn that some runs go really well and some not so well. Took me about 10 minutes to get into the groove, just couldn't get my breathing right. Once I did it was fine. Now I need to plan what's next, I love running. I'm a mum and a full time midwife. I look after people, but this is the one thing I do JUST for me. I still can't believe that I've got to this point. I remember week 1 run 1 so well and feeling like a great lumbering lump puffing my way through each minute. Now I've got my breath back within a minute of completing 30 minutes. Thanks to all of you who post on this forum. I've felt really supported all the way through and knowing that I can ask if I've got any questions has really helped. Oh and I've lost 12lbs and feel better and fitter at the ripe old age of 45 than I EVER have.

Congratulations on graduating! I agree, it is so important in this busy life to have something that we do for ourselves and that gives us some "me time". Bet you'll be smiling all day and lots of luck with the next stage of your running journey!π
That's brilliant - well done.
Given your job, you are used to 'new starts', so welcome to your 'new start' as a graduate runner :-).
Yeeeaaahhhh go you!!!
Congratulations; it's amazing isn't it?! Any graduation treats planned? X
This is an amazing program, it is so good to read the posts from people that started the journey at the same time as me π Hopefully graduation will be mine tomorrow -I have a park run planned. Have you set a new goal at all? I am interested as not sure what to do after Laura!!! Well done ππΎπ
Hi, it really is an amazing program. I'm like you and not too sure what to do next, might just do week 9 again. I've got a Nike app so I'm going to try and just go a bit faster each time but essentially just going to enjoy running. Good luck with the park run tomorrow. Will be great to see how you got on.
Well done. graduating is so amazing, it's a great achievement. I would say just enjoy running for a few weeks until the 5k feels more comfy, then you will naturally decide what you want next. You could download the 5K+ podcasts and try them.
Yaaaay. Still on running endorphins so unable to be much more coherent but Yaaaaaayyyy!!!!!!
Well done I graduated yesterday and am still floating today. πππ
Huge congratulations!! Well done for keeping with it too as being a mum and a midwife is more than a double full time job in itself.
Congratulations! This post is so inspiring, thank you for sharing
Congratulations Carole! It is so important to do something for yourself and we easily forget to do it, we're all so busy working and/or looking after other people.
