Week 9 Run 3 - Done!

I crossed the finish line! After feeling week 9 was a bit of an anti-climax and just a hard slog, after the encouraging words here the other day; I just went for it. No expectations, just relaxed into it. Ran a 'slightly' better pace (4.6 k over the 30 mins) - but I still have a little bit of work to do to hit the magic 5k/30 mins mark. It's been thoroughly enjoyable apart from WK9 R1&2 - and this programme & forum has really helped me get on the right fitness track. Next, consolidate, build speed & start running outside (I did the whole programme on the treadmill!)

Congratulations... celebrate well. Enjoy consolidation and the closing out of 5k... you’re only a few minutes way, so it’s there when you want it.

Congratulation SammyB1971, I too finished my last run a week or so ago and am consolidating with some slightly longer runs building up each week. Like you I also completed C25K on the treadmill, now trying to build some confidence to head outdoors, would love to try a park run. All the best of luck, and hope you have a fabulous Xmas and New Year. Regards. Richard

I really want to try parkrun - unfortunately it clashes with my daughter's swimming session. One day!

By the way, I've just noticed, I don't have the 'Graduate' next to my name, how do you get that? :-)

Just do a post in the 'December Graduation Badges' thread, saying you've done W9R3 with your username. The admin will then add the badge within a couple of hours.
