In thunder, lightning, or in rain? When the hurlyburly's done, When the battle 's lost and won
Bit of a culture vulture me, and I love this quote.
This morning three women, wise women as it happens synchronised our graduation runs, across Cornwall, Portugal and Italy. sheps MintT and me being the triple threat to running and the earth's axis stability.
We are not witches, but thunder, lightning and of course rain could have been our Gladiator alter-egos. Rain being me after the penultimate soaking run.
Lots of messages flying around about alarms, time differences, coffee oh and me not being able to sleep because it was a bit like Christmas, I know I needed sleep but couldn't because I wanted to make sure I was awake to do the run. Sorry sheps for the 3am message telling you I couldn't sleep!
I'd created a graduation playlist, including Eminem and Lizzo, Lenny Kravitz, the Boss, His Purple Highness, Kate Bush,

Run venue - starting off at Baghdad roundabout, following the correct directions this time. Keeping in mind my two running companions kept my mind off the terrible tens and although Sledgehammer was playing at that time, the run didn't feel heavy going. A trouble shared is a trouble halved they say or in this case thirded as there were three of us sharing the task.
I passed a ponytailed loping runner who had a very high and long stride, as opposed to my low-level short one, still we all do it in our different ways, and the distance covered isn't any longer because you've got longer legs...
The Boss told me I was Born to Run, well maybe not born to run, but wanted to run today, and whilst Lola Young sang about being Messy in my mind's eye I was Messi, a genius runner astounding the world with my running witchery.
I finished on Vienna, still in Italy though and also on cloud nine.
My fellow gladiatorial women graduates - cheers - truthfully I couldn't have done it without you.
For all the C25Kers who cheer us on, for those just starting, those coming back, the admins, the ambassadors, this is truthfully one of the most joyous places on the internet.
When will we three meet again, well I'm hoping sometime next week for a consolidation run...👍
Whilst today is Mothering Sunday I'd also like to say a word of thanks to a guy many of us remember fondly, who kept us going. Tim - I came back and I do want to keep running and smiling like you always did.
