So I started my C25k journey last Friday, but I did have a little bit of a hip twang from an inept figure 8 workout on the day before. Doing my first two runs - Friday and then Sunday didn't hurt in motion, but I guess didn't help my cause after. I've been resting since, but I'm not sure that inactivity is helping either, and am keen to do my 3rd run, even though it's quite a gap between. The sore inner thighs from running sorted themselves out with some stretching after a couple of days, and they were just my body going whaaat running?! Can I run through the twang given it wasn't running that caused it?

Never run through pain and if you know you have "twanged" something then keep it moving but gently.

In the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you will find a link to the PRICE principles, which are the basis of self administered first aid.

Gentle stretching is usually helpful.

If the issue persists then professional medical advice is essential.

I would echo what's been said by IannodaTruffe and that is to not run with pain !Dosent really matter if the injury was caused by running or not , I would apply the same rules .
