hip bursitis

The injections don't work for everyone, didn't help me I ended up having ultra sound therapy and that did help along with rest and physio, since I started running it's all calmed down and haven't had a problem. Hope it gets better soon

thanks how long were you out for
it was before I started running and was combined with chronic back pain so I cant give a definite time frame but I was in pain for maybe a year, I wasn't really until I started running that I became pain free, it flared at first but I was taking longer rest breaks and that seemed to help

ive been doing the ice thing for a week and already on nprox gp said rest for a week and then try to run but if pain is on going to go back for injections she s a runner as well

So sorry to read about your injuries. Hope they mend soon!

thanks frannyfran injection on the 23rd and a visit to a sports physio and no running till them

Try wetting a hand towel (wring out the excess water) and pop it into the freezer for a couple of hours. For a large area like a hip it will wrap around and be better than ice packs perhaps.
