Week 6 Run 1

I’m returning to C25K after graduating initially abut 10 years ago and then giving up running as work and life got in the way. I’m now retired and returning to the program to get fit and improve my lifestyle. I’ve just completed Week 6 Run 1 this morning and it feels really good. Completing the 20 min run at the end of Week 5 felt like a real achievement and I’d seen the warnings about returning to intervals in Week 6, but I’m pleased with how I coped. I usually run at around 6.30 in the morning but left it a bit later today for the rain to ease off and it was pleasant to run in the cool post-rain morning. Am very positive about graduating again and keeping up the running this time.

Next week I’m going to be on holiday for two weeks and my running gear will be in the suitcase with me. This will give me the chance to try run in a new environment, but this program is giving me the confidence to do that.
