Week 6 Run 1

Another week and the start of another running adventure. It was raining this morning as I was running. That light rain that soaks you through. And so it did this morning.

The runs went well and the recovery was good too. This is getting to me as I cannot wait for running days to come around. But I will stick to the plan and take my rest days in between runs.

Well done Nightingale. I hated wk6 run 1!

I know what you mean about cannot wait for run days; even though it's only one rest day it feels like ages!! 🙄

Good girl! Time you went to Specsavers :-) I am a 62 year old, bald, fat bloke. E I guess Nightingale is a kind of girlie name. But it is the name of our local hospice.

Oh my goodness yes. Stick to the plan. It's so easy to get carried away and end up hurt. Rein yourself in and you'll graduate in full fitness ☺

Running in the rain is normally refreshing but lately it's just added to the energy-sapping humidity. We need porch swings, fans and mint juleps 😊

Good luck with your next run!

It seems as if I am. Only hope that I can maintain it once I have completed the plan. Previously I have stopped running as I was always pushing myself to go faster and futher all the time. That's why I am not bothering with pace or distance run this time.

Well done Nightingale, very wise to not bother with pace or distance as you end up driving yourself mad ! :-)
