Week 6 Run 1

Another week and the start of another running adventure. It was raining this morning as I was running. That light rain that soaks you through. And so it did this morning.

The runs went well and the recovery was good too. This is getting to me as I cannot wait for running days to come around. But I will stick to the plan and take my rest days in between runs.

  • Well done Nightingale. I hated wk6 run 1!

I know what you mean about cannot wait for run days; even though it's only one rest day it feels like ages!! 🙄

  • well done running comrade I too enjoyed this morning must be turning into a running nut because i can't wait for the next one to come round

  • See you on Wednesday.

  • Good girl.. rest is very important! The hooked feeling is incredible isn't it.

    Well done you ! :)

  • Good girl! Time you went to Specsavers :-) I am a 62 year old, bald, fat bloke. E I guess Nightingale is a kind of girlie name. But it is the name of our local hospice.

  • So sorry!!!! Brain addled..been digging out for slab laying..now laid..got very very wet..huge apologies for that! I am 66...not bald..or fat...and female...and completely shattered now!

    Well done Sir!!!😏

  • Thank you Ma'am.

  • Oh my goodness yes. Stick to the plan. It's so easy to get carried away and end up hurt. Rein yourself in and you'll graduate in full fitness ☺

Running in the rain is normally refreshing but lately it's just added to the energy-sapping humidity. We need porch swings, fans and mint juleps 😊

Good luck with your next run!

  • Sounds great... :) May I come and sit on your porch please?

  • Thank you. I have no intention of going off piste.

  • Two of us on the swing? Mmmmm Don't rock the boat Floss, it might not .......... too late! It's ok on the floor but I can't see over the rail now. Another julep? Ah lovely ...

  • Just delicious...😏

  • Well done! You're well and truly hooked now!

  • It seems as if I am. Only hope that I can maintain it once I have completed the plan. Previously I have stopped running as I was always pushing myself to go faster and futher all the time. That's why I am not bothering with pace or distance run this time.

  • Definitely at this rate it will be over before we know it

  • Well done Nightingale, very wise to not bother with pace or distance as you end up driving yourself mad ! :-)

Good Luck, keep going ! :-) xxx
