Note to self running after a big meal is not fun πŸ”πŸ₯΄

Hey πŸ‘‹

I'm back running after an injury I have repeated week 6 and I am now repeating week 7. I have 1 more run of week 7 to do this week then hopefully I will be able to move onto week 8 at last!!! I got to the last run of week 7 when I took 10 days rest and decided to go back to the beginning of week 6.

Today has been so hot so I put off going all evening after work, then had to eat, I waited just over 2 hours thinking that would be long enough for my evening meal to settle before heading out. 🀒 big mistake will not be doing that again, heart burn, stitches and just generally feeling sluggish and heavy. But you know what at least I did it! And I was convinced I was going super super slow because of the heaviness but actually my pace wasn't that much difference to what it normally was so it just shows you what you think and what the actual reality is doesn't always match up.

Hope everyone's doing well and smashing those runs! Let's get to week 8,9 and beyond πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ πŸ’₯

Well done.

Going back will do you no harm but you will lose very little discernible condition in the first two weeks of non running.

Thank you 😁 I mainly went back because I wasn't sure how my ankle was going to be so wanted to go back to runs where there were intervals.

Well done, Popstess ! You are continuing to do really well. You can definitely do this. Probably best not to run after eating, even with a gap. On one of my runs, I got a stitch and I'd only had water! It wasn't nice though so I sympathise. Good luck finishing week 7 injury free πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Aw thank you so much Pigpog you are so supportive πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ yes I won't be doing that again in a hurry. Didn't like it one bit. Hopefully I'll feel a little lighter on my next run

Well done for restarting after your injury. It must have been tempting to delay it given the heat but even though you didn’t enjoy it, you’re back on the journey and that’s half the battle I think after a break. Good luck with your next run πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
