Hello….again!!!

Well God loves a trier, or so they say…! Back again. It didn’t stick last year - my mum got very ill with a rare heart condition last year, nearly passed and had nearly a month in hospital. That took me out and as usual find it hard to put myself first and running fell away by the wayside.

Anyway, made myself watch London Marathon - always get very inspired and emotional watching it & here we are back at week 1. I actually drove a short drive into North Berwick at 5.15am to catch the sunset on my run and WOW. It was stunning.

My new Lululemon leggings (got as a present) were a disappointment tbh - kept having to pull them up! What is that all about for that price?! Any legging recommendations for the size 16 woman?!

Need to just commit, commit, commit and just show up for myself!! I enjoy running and today in all honesty did not feel as painful as I was envisioning it would.

Woohoo….🙌

🍏🤩☺️An absolutely stunning photograph! I have seen many sunrises over the sea & they never fail to leave me in awe! Welcome back to the program & well done for keep on trying!! Remember to run slowly! Listen to your body. Try and warm up before setting off and doing some cool down stretches too. There is some great fun coming on our strength and flex program to support our running. Do take a look.👀 Let us know how you get on!

Thanks so much and thanks for strength and flex series. I hope I can make it stick. I don’t want to do crazy running, just three times a week and to enjoy it again! 🤞🤞 let’s see what I can do. Thanks for the support! X

Good for you. I have restarted. I am onto W3. Hope your Mum is recovering well too.

I hate leggings that slide down your legs as you run.

Welcome back! Consistency is absolutely the best thing you can do for your running... you’re so right with the “commit commit commit” motto. Even if you don’t do the full run, just getting out there regularly will make such a difference. Can’t wait to hear how you get on! Gorgeous picture too ❤️

My recommendation for leggings would be Sweaty Betty powers (in the sale). They’re my absolute favourites for anything and everything active. I’ve got a plain black pair on now for work too!! They last for ages too. Full price I can’t afford them but you can often get them for £35-£45 in the sales if you’re not too picky about the patterns/colours. And there’s always Vinted!! I also really like Rainbows and Sprinkles. Super comfortable and non see-through. Patterns not for everyone but they do black ones!

Happy shopping!

Another vote for Rainbows and Sprinkles from me. That's when I'm not in Sainsbury's cotton leggings.

Clever motivational move on the couch there!

Have a look at Ruby Fury's website for fab leggings made in England. Full leggings, shorts, capris, skapris, skorts, reflective, thermal etc all available, in standard and high waist- I have the latter and they are so comfortable and never slip. And they will make to custom measurements too. Not the cheapest, but I love mine. rubyfury.co.uk/

I’m also a repeat offender! Good that you’re back. I wear M&S leggings and find them great. No slippage and pretty reasonable price. 😊

Also back after for a second time. I hope your mum is OK now. My Amazon IUGA are still going strong 4 years later. I love a phone pocket. Sort the reviews on height/weight to find the best fit.

Hey .. just wanted to jump on your post mainly because I have completed the program now 4 times from start to finish .. life and illness gets in the way and throws a spanner in the works however I have now completed it for the final time hopefully, I hope to keep it as part of me, currently preparing for the Race for life this year .... keep in with it you will do great … I actually really like Nike leggings mainly the capri ones, they sit in place, don't move and feel like a second skin .. no pockets though but I always use a running belt anyway so don’t need the pocket .. good luck with your journey and most importantly have fun! :-)
