After all that worrying about it, I went and did it!!!! W5R3 that is
I am so chuffed and proud of myself.
When I was at senior school I was always at the back or last at running in PE/Games. I was sporty (Netball/Tennis) but not a runner at any distance. The 1500m was my biggest nightmare.
Never in all my born days did I think that at the age of 41 I would WILLINGLY go out for a run!
But I do!
And I may be slower than a slow thing going very slowly, but I actually nailed that 20minute run. I nearly screamed when Laura said it was over, but there were other people around and I didn't want to alarm them!!!
Thanks so much to you guys for all your encouragement and support, I couldn't have done it without your advice and kind words of encouragement.
I believe Week 6 is no walk in the park - eek. But I shall remain positive that I can actually run for 20 minutes.

Well done you!!! I am onW5R2 just behind you! I hope to be posting the same as you (slow bit too) but not stopping on Monday! Thanks for sharing its really good to know other people feel the same and make it!
Me too! Wk5 R3 ticked off this morning. I deliberately chose a nice flat route. I am also very slow - even when 'running' I'm at the snail pace of 8min/km. But I kept going at my snail pace for about 2.5k so that's fine by me! Well done to us!!! Helen x
I’m right there with you, week 5 wow we did it. No one could have been more adamant than me about running being the last thing I’d ever do. But here I am out there where people can see me and not caring twopence what they think!
I’ll be thinking of you as I too move to week 6 good luck
