5k big fun run - more medals!

I'm turning into Miles Yonder with my magpie like attraction to shiny medals! This was my first run since doing the GNR last week and it couldn't have been more different. For starters the weather, gloriously overcast and cool :) number of runners less than 100 I'm guessing, distance 5k vs 21k and no timing (great to have Miss Garmin). Really enjoyed this run, no time pressures just to get round with some friends to raise money for Epilepsy research (my colleague who suffers signed us all up). Not much to report race wise other than a charging cow on Newcastles town moor, luckily it was chasing down a steward when I ran past and not us runners! Here's a pic of me after the race looking fresh, when did 5k become 'easy'? Oh and this weeks Tshirt does me no justice, they sent me a tent to wear ;)

Hope anyone else doing races today had fun!

Thanks :) so happy as my colleague was really touched by all our efforts, she even gave us all a thank you card and had fruit and sweets for us at the end!

Fab, was wondering how you got on - those cows can be fierce, glad it was not you on the receiving end. Sounds like a fun time. :-)

Fantastic time, was a really quiet race which was very refreshing, a lot smaller than even a park run. I hate cows, I always think they stare at me and are plotting evil stuff, that one today was not happy in the slightest but I'm so glad it wasn't chasing after me, might have got a PB ;)

Somehow I got it sideways? Perhaps the site prefers iPads to iPhones since that's the first time I've uploaded from my phone. Celebrating with movie night tonight with popcorn.......mmmmmm ;)

I know, just when did 5k become easy! I'm still amazed every time I go out for a run just how far I've come since graduating :)
