W5r2 this morning. Think I had a bit of a super-toxic 5 today! I noticed I was watching the tarmac a few steps in front of me more than usual during the first run session, a sure sign I was finding it harder. So I slowed down, in case I was a little fast, and reminded myself to look at the world around me - cow parsley just starting to go over, Hawthorn (May) blossom looking awesome, verdant greed hedgerows, birds, clouds - that's a big reason why I love to get out ☺️ And I finished the run ok, in fact finished quite strong (perhaps helped by a very gradual downhill finish 😉), so onwards to r3..!

There are so many things that can affect your running, but generally if a run is tough just slow down. This post explores it a bit more healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Thank you! Yes, getting more used to slowing down if something's not quite right, even if I feel I can't go any slower! It has helped so far. Thanks for the article 👍🏼🤓
