W8r2, what was wrong on Monday then?

So you may have seen my travails on w8r1 on Monday so I set off today a little more cautious than usual.

Big difference, today was bright & calm and I (nearly) enjoyed the run! Went a little slower as advised 8.15/km, and other than the usual leg & hip niggles, really had nothing to complain about. I even carried on to the gate after Laura told me to stop, so ran 29 mins in total.

I can only assume Monday was ‘just one of those days’, and learn to get over myself. Although a couple of other posters seem to have had the same experience on w8r1 so perhaps it’s a previously unspoken watershed.

So my fellow w8 posse the end is just around the corner, I’ll bet none of us expected to find ourselves here, it’s come as quite a surprise.

I think it is plain to see the difference......you went slower and perhaps your preparation was better.

Learning what is a sustainable pace is part and parcel of becoming a runner.
