Two lots of 8 minutes, wasn't easy but wasn't excrusiatingly hard either. Yes I had to push on mentally but coped OK. Still glad to hear Jo tell me that I had finished. Missed my running partner, daughter no1, who has been down helping with the house move--couldn't have done it without you Jess. She has jumped into C25K at week 4, as she was already a bit of an occasional runner & relatively fit in her early 30's. So we should go through the program together, although 170 miles apart, which will add to the fun

Fantastic isn't it? I smoked since I was 12 until about 12months ago, was 104Kg when I started and weighed in at 94.6 Kg this AM even though my diet not been so good for the last week during the house move--needs must to just grab any fuel when you are rushing around like a blue -arsed fly. I'm finding this an religious like experience.
Well done to you too. Fingers crossed no injuries pop up so that we graduate together.
Well done on your progress both running and weight loss. I was hoping to lose some weight but even though I have been careful with food I don’t seem to be losing much. Husband said perhaps my fat is turning into muscle 😂.
Yes hopefully we will be graduating together. I have my dreaded run 3 on Thursday... plenty of water and a early night !
My dad has biked alongside a few of my runs for moral support so I get that it feels strange when it’s suddenly not there. I’m sure your daughter is with you in spirit though, as are we, your HU running crew 👊🏼
Just got to channel our ultimate inner snail for R3. Sure, it’s quite a milestone but our faith in the programme has worked so far, right?
My daughter now following my posts as well, although she says she is not going to write anything herself. She ran W5R2 yesterday morning as well.
I like the idea of my HR running crew :-). It is so good to feel supported and to give support to others. You, along with everyone else that is on this journey deserve a huge big up.
Yes pacing is what it is all about, also contour trailing. I am really lucky that work is right on the coast at Hayle and so my runs of late have had no more than 10m height difference throughout my course. The scenery and wildlife also really helping to take my mind off the heavy legs too. Its funny how the bunnies seem to take longer to runaway when you are jogging towards them. The other bonus I enjoy is that the shower pressure at work is awesome, so good in fact you sometimes find yourself turning it down from max.
One foot in front of the other!
Oh and relax the upper body, as Jo keeps telling me swing those arms. I found that I was getting tense across the shoulders because I was hardly moving mine I started to swing my arms a little more and the tension fell away.
