Well that wasn't too bad. Tried to keep that middle 5 min walk as brisk as possible in anticipation of the dreaded R3! (Strange choice of music for that I thought. Seemed a little too sleepy and slow and I had to totally ignore it!) Must have done something right because I do pretty much the same route and usually have a bit of extra walking time at the end but today I was almost at my door when Laura said goodbye!
Certainly feel daunted by the thought of that 20 min run though but excited too. I so want to say 'Bring it on' but don't want to tempt the dreaded gremlins out to play!

Well done! I can't remember which track it was for that run, what was it? There certainly are some weird choices on the programme!
That 20 min run is the biggy, I'm sure you'll be up for it, Laura will have prepared you well...don't think about it too much, don't go too fast and enjoy! You're more than half way now.
You know I couldn't really tell you, the music has already been blocked from my memory! Most of the music wouldn't be my choice but I do like it when the beat matches my natural rhythm. Looking forward to finding my own but I use a music player so have to download the podcasts as they are.
Thanks for the encouragement and yeay to halfway
Well done I'm glad it went well.
I saw a poster about running with a wee motivational thing on it about those wee gremilns, it said, 'every time you think you can't do it remember your mind is a Liar!'
Hope you enjoy your rest day and good luck with run 3 xxx
Well done hilbean!!! I know what you mean about R3 - I feel quite pretty daunted by it and also excited at the same time. I've already checked out the music situation for all three week 5 runs and I'm quite pleased that there's a pretty good upbeat, dancey track at around the halfway mark on R3 so looking forward to the extra mental energy it'll give me. x
Dare I even admit that I Shazam'd it and bought it on iTunes? LOL!
I'm debating doing R1 tomorrow. Today was the official rest day so I'll see what my legs are feeling up to in the morning. They feel good right now but who knows what tomorrow will bring. I'd like to get as far as possible with the course before the real frosts set in so just going with a "play it by ear" (or should that be legs?) plan for the number of rest days I take between runs.
