Just completed the second run of week 5 and I wanted to track my progress because I dreaded the thought of running any longer than 5 minutes but here I am !!

It’s refreshing to have a change in mentality because now it’s ‘only 8 minutes’ instead of ‘oh my god it’s 8 minutes’.

To anyone reading this, good luck with your run. You’ve got this!! :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

You didn't run for 8 minutes..........you ran for 16, with 5 minutes of brisk walking in between, total 21 minutes!

Enjoy your journey.
