I've been running round a field but today I got out on the street which I found much better.
I even managed a couple of extra runs at the end. Really enjoyed it! I definitely think I need some better running shoes though. I feel like my right ankle falls inward slightly. Not sure if it's related to a ruptured plantar fascia a few years ago.?
I've found some shoes online but worried they won't fit or be comfy.

Well done on getting through the first week and itβs so good that youβre enjoying it, onwards and upwards!
Iβm not sure you should do extra runs at the end though, the programme has been designed to build you up really gradually and it would be such a shame if you got injured by trying to do too much too soon. Youβll be surprised how quick you build up from week to week so stick with it and enjoy π good luck for week 2
Thanks! Oh, they were only 2 very slow 30 second bursts during the 5 mins cool down walk. Couldn't have managed more than that. I'm very wary about injury
I got my running shoes online. The first pair I received I had to send back because they were too tight for running but they were very good about it and exchanged them with no fuss.
Good luck with week 2 ππββοΈππββοΈ
Thank you! I'm just not sure about sizing. I'm usually a size 5.5-6. Wondering if I should order a size 6.5 as I've seen people saying to go up a size in runners? π€·
You're the same size as me. I had to go for a size 7 but it may depend on the shoes. I'd def go for at least a 6.5 and see how they feel. I'm sure you'll be able to exchange your shoes if they don't feel right when you try them on at home.
