Vomiting on a run! Week7

Hi!

I’m on week 7 run 1 and 2.5 mins from the end I threw up😣 this has never happened before. It wasn’t a lot either but I just heaved!

I was managing the run well before it happened, and it sort of cake out of nowhere. Suddenly felt nauseous then retched and threw up a bit🤨

I stopped for max 60 seconds then slooowly jogged to finish the run. I suppose my question is WHY did this happen, how can I avoid this and should I repeat my run? I’m a little disheartened as I went into the run really confident

Observing the advice about not eating immediately before a run may help, as may checking your hydration levels.

We recommend that you repeat any run that is not fully completed as required.........it is a training plan not a checklist exercise.

Did you leave at least an hour before running after a light meal? 2 hours or more after a normal meal?

Yeah I ran first thing, had drank about 500ml and nothing else, though I’d eaten a big meal the night before. I will try again tomorrow and see how I go x
