Week7 Run1 and a little disappointed.

I didn't complete today runs and yes I am a little disappointed because I know I can do it, because I did it already last week. I didn't have breakfast this morning, I ate chocolate biscuits at my parents this afternoon and I didn't have my banana before I went jogging and only had a small glass of water before I went. So I think I failed before I even started. Oh and I'd already walked for 20 minutes to get home before I went jogging.

Started out OK nice even pace got to the half way point and thought OK this is good, then all of a sudden I started to flag, got to about 18 minutes and had to stop. I paused the podcast and caught my breath for about 30 seconds then stated the podcast again, then I had to stop for a delivery van to turn, so then I continued to walk for a minutes or so then started jogging again. I got further up the road and a lady indicated to turn into her drive and she waived me on, but I could take one more step so waived her on, and She gave me the biggest smile and thumbs up, I think she knew I was done for. lol I walked the rest of the way home. I'm not devastated by not finishing I do feel a bit disappointed but hey ho thats how it goes sometimes. :-) On to the next run and hopefully it will be better.

Happy jogging all. :-)

Pity you didn't quite make it, caz1_ca, but a good post-run analysis, ending on a positive note. :-)

Lessons learnt. Onwards and upwards, eh?

I knew I was going to get a "bad" run sooner or later, but I'm not going to let it get me down. :-)

That's the spirit! You've definitely got the mental (!) side to this thing licked!

Hey, if it was easy everyone could do it... :-)

But it is strange how you can achieve a time or distance one time and not the next. I was banjaxed by a lot of steep steps towards the end of the run this morning (runner's excuse no 234). Started off two at a time, then had to walk when I got to the top. Stopping is a killer, and so seductive - it doesn't take much to disturb my fragile equilibrium...

Next time will definitely be better though. :-)

Hahaha very true. ;-)

It is fatal to stop I know that or sure. But Thursday I will be better prepared. :-)
