Starting again

Hi!. I completed the program around 8 months ago being the first time I was running.

But now I have not run since then 😬. Is it good to start from the beginning? Or is there any week is better to start from again?.

Thanks!

Why not begin again..it is great fun and there is little pressure... you know you can do it:) Welcome back!

I graduated last March but suffered an injury & then had some health issues which stopped me running. I started back at the begining of C25K 2 months ago and found those early weeks surprisingly hard. Perhaps I was too cautious but I don't want another injury and the weeks have flown (graduation run tomorrow). So starting at the begining again was right for me.

Yeah, me too. I had a two month break over Christmas and just having done W2R1, I felt quite zonked at the end. I was wondering how the devil I ever managed to do 30 minutes if I find 90 sec repeats tough.

I know I think it's all the faffing with the walks. I never got into a rhythm in those early weeks. Once I was into slightly longer intervals I found it got much easier, and the runs past 20 mins felt much more natural.

It’s easier to start again & go with the flow! Enjoy it!

I had a 4 month break and started again - I also found the first 2 weeks harder than I expected so glad I went back to the beginning

I think I’d start again and build up the stamina gently. Well done for coming back 👍

Hi I graduated last summer. I was running 5k but stopped in September. I started from the beginning and am enjoying it.

Decided as I wasn’t in any particular hurry to just let the process happen.

Guess it depends on you and your fitness.

Happy running 😃

Building your muscle strength and resistance to injury is best done gently and gradually and if you have not run for 8 months you will have precious little residual condition, so I would recommend starting at the beginning.

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it is full of tips.

Thank you all!!! To be more specific, I was in week 9 in June, then did not run for few months until November when I started again and reached week 5. Then nothing again and now I want to complete it again!.

If you think that again starting from the beginning is the right thing, then I will follow your advice :). Thanks!
