Welcome back to the forum and well done on your decision.

After 4 or 5 months of non running, for someone who stopped in W7, it would be wisest to rebuild your stamina and resistance to injury starting from scratch. If you don't then your injury risk will likely be increased.

Many of us have had to redo C25k, even with many years running on our legs, and it is the best way to safely get running again.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

I graduated in June 2020 and was running regularly up to 10k when a back injury forced me out at the beginning of September last year.Feeling almost normal again, and with the help and advice of my physio, I decided to restart c25k just before Christmas. I've just finished week 7and it's taken until this week for me to feel anything like the runner I was last summer.

I know the plan works as I've done it before, and it was a way of preventing myself from trying to do too much too soon.

Personally I would advise starting from the beginning again.

Good luck, whatever you decide

And Happy Running 🏃‍♀️

... and you have done wonderfully! A super example of how this C25K can work, when we make a comeback :)

Hi Captainfussy , there was an almost identical query two days ago. You might like to read the thread: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

The short version is that restarting from week 1 is your best bet!

Hi Captainfussy I was the person everyone's talking about - I'm in an almost identical situation to you (week 7 then big break). I'm taking their good advice and starting again ☺️

Someone suggested doing W1 R1 then W2 R1 W3 R1 to gauge your current level after the break.

Good luck 🙂
