Well, it isn't getting any easier but than again that might be the point. I keep reminding myself why I am doing this and to be honest 5k will hopefully only be the start. So full of confidence I have signed up for a 10k in May and a tough mudder (10 miles) in August. Good luck to everyone on their journeys.

Well...you might not want to hear this, but it never got any easier for me. I found all the runs challenging, but kept going anyway! But you know, once you graduate, you just establish a regular running routine, and every now and then have a run that does feel quite effortless. And then you set a new challenge, and it gets tough again...until it gets easier. Rinse and repeat! 😂 All the while you get fitter and fitter, and then you get addicted...and hey presto! You don’t mind when you have a tough run.

Keep going. You are doing great. 👍 Signing up for an event is a great motivator. But remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day. 😁 I have been running 2.5 years now, and still learning, still improving! All the best to you. 👏👏👏

Thank you for saying that. I’m on week 5 and every run was hard. I dream of being s person who can effortlessly run

Well, the longer you have been running, the more you enjoy it and the less you care whether it is hard or not - honest! And of course it does get a wee bit easier...A lot of running is down to mental resilience, and that comes in time. 😊 If a run is hard, you are doing it right! You are doing enough to challenge yourself. But, never, ever be afraid to slow down - I love a slow run, and it does wonders for your stamina!

Not one run felt easier until after we graduated and then suddenly one day there we were having a run and saying oh this is good let’s just carry on a bit longer

Good luck

I don't find it gets easier, but my times are slowly coming down so I must be doing more for the same effort. I always feel better when I get back though.

I guess it is a challenge. A challenge that gives a great sense of achievement. I’m not sure “easier” came in to it for me until I restarted c25k.

Some runs were better than others.

We can be proud of every time we get out there, though!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

If any run is tough, just slow down........this is about endurance, not speed.

Enjoy your journey.
