Struggled today by end of run knees and hips so sore and calves were screaming. I was running super slow not sure what else to do 😔

Agh I’m starting run1 of week 4 tonight.
Maybe just a bad run? Did u hurt after earlier runs?

I've had runs where my legs were killing me, in particular I suffer from very tight calves. I've found yoga is really helping. I try and do some (just use YouTube videos) on my non running days and have found some quick yoga cool downs for runners too now. I jump on my mat as soon as I'm home and it's made a big difference already.
Such a pity. Were you well hydrated? Had you had enough rest? Are your shoes suitable? Check the advice on this forum, take a couple of days off. Better luck next time.

Sounds like it might just be “one of those runs” we all have them. You won’t know for sure until you try again. So my advice would be:
* don’t go out until the aches have gone- even have an extra rest day??
* make sure you’re fully hydrated (every day, not just run days)
* don’t stress about it-go out with a positive mindset and after a good nights sleep
