W4R1 in the bag

A cold, early start to the day but I managed to get round without stopping! Utterly delighted that I've stuck with it and trusted the programme.

Legs were getting heavy on the second 5 min run - any tips to help with that (apart from keep running 😀)

Well done for completing W4 R1, so far for me that has been my nemesis! The only thing I can suggest for your heavy legs is to maybe slow down (and then slow down some more)? Still, now you've done it once you know that you should be able to do it twice more. Hopefull on R2 you will find it easier. Please let us know how you find it.

Thanks Alast. Just back from R2 and it was a much better experience. I thought i was making a conscious effort to slow down, but my overall pace ended up being a minute faster, so go figure. I think i was just more consistent with my pace from the start. Hope you're getting there!

Yes, the only tip really is to slow down. That and make sure you’re doing the warmup and cool down stretching (links in the How to post). Well done 😁

Thank you! I've paid more attention to my pace and stretching today with R2 and i think that's helped.
