It all feels serious now. Just 2 minutes off the full 30 for Week 8 and I made sure I stayed dry for several days, had plenty of rest, sleep and naps (aren't naps a wonderful thing!) to be all primed and ready for this week. Kit all freshly washed and pull on those lycra running leggings (why does it always seem a little kinky haha).
Really pleased with the run, pretty much ignored my Garmin watch all the way round apart from checking how much longer to go and what surprised me at the end? I pretty much matched pace for pace, K by K my week 7 run 3 timings. I must be so predictable lol.
I've also noticed, up until a couple of weeks ago, that the distance to the first (sorry!) much needed spit in the hedgerow has lengthened to 7:30 - 8:00 in from the start hahaha and now seems pretty static. Or is that just me that does that???
I've put a nice bottle of The Reverend James in the fridge to quietly celebrate tonight (It's another beer Buddy!)

You are one of the few that does it within the 9 wks. I'm glad you are enjoying the program and hopefully you are feeling the benefits of being fitter and having some "me" time. It's great to have those moments when you don't think about all the stuff in your life, you can just enjoy the moment. Ok, enjoy may be a little strong for some runs but you get the drift 😊
And a shout out to your stepdaughter for spreading the word of C25K 👏👏👏
I never took any notice of any device or app until I got home. Just listened out for the voice in my head telling me I was half way or just 5 minutes to go. Occasionally checked my watch, when I though Michael had fallen asleep. But no, it was always wishful thinking 🤣.
Cheers Mig, I started using my watch to pace myself around that damn hill and also the outbound downhill. It was too tempting to go too quick from the off downhill, then try too hard up the hill and end up completely buggered!
Oh I so get that. In the early days, setting off too fast down hill was a school boy error I made more than once. It's all part of the learning curve. Not easy, pacing yourself down hill.
