The first dreaded 20 min block of jogging, done! I'm so chuffed that I managed it, I even managed to actually increase my pace to running speed for the last 60 seconds!
This programming is brilliant, I can't believe 5 weeks have already gone by, i remember starting and how apprehensive i felt, all those beginning, just keep going, you can do it!

When you lose the intervals again you'll get a sense of relief, but then you have to watch w8 as it can then feel like a bit of a slog but you can do it! 👍🏻😁💪🏻
Righty! So glad I did this, and thank you for the advice, feels as though this has got me ready and right in the zone for the next lot of runs, woop woop!
If I can run for 20 minutes then I can run for 25,
If I can run for 25 minutes then I can run for 28,
If I can run for 28 minutes then I can run for 30,
If I can run for 30 minutes then I can graduate.
Week 5 run 3 is the psychological challenge in my opinion, if you can push yourself mentally through that then it helps you understand how the program has been preparing your body but only you can prepare your head.
Don't get me wrong, you will still get the Gremlins from time to time, sometimes every run but you WILL know you can do it.
That is awesome, thank you! Beating the gremlins in me head is a big one for me, it's them that get me when I try and hit PBs in my lifting, I'm hoping this will help in my lifting game too!
Others on this forum have suggested you think of all of us running with you batting the gremlins away as you run, count me in. There are too many of us supporting you for them to win. 🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️
