Wk 5 R3 - how did I get here

Not too sure what has happened to me, or how I successfully got to this point but I have finished the dreaded Wk5 R3. So proud of myself - not that anyone else really notices - but this isn't for them it's for me.

Whoop, whoop she says in celebration of a tough task completed horrible wind and rain.

I did my 5k route today, so with my 20 minute run I completed the rest of the distance walking really fast and gave Laura another two minutes right at the end. It took me 43 minutes in total. So I'm way off course for 5k in 30 minutes, but at least I know that and have something to aim for.

Now where do I buy some cheap-ish but not rubbish running gear for the cold, wet and windy months ahead.

I fear I may have become obsessed

Well done on W5R3, it's a great feeling of satisfaction and good on you for adding on at the end!! That will set you up well for week 6. I'm investigating waterproofs at the moment myself s if I find any good deals I'll let you know. :)

Well done subhyst, we notice and we all know how hard it is sometimes so would never ignor someones achievements. Be proud of yourself, be very proud.

I'm really impressed too that you have already planned out your 5K route, don't worry about speed at this time just concentrate on doing the running time. Good luck with the rest of the programme too.

I really thought I would not be able to do it. So good luck for Wednesday, I know how you feel. It's all either in the legs or the head. Either way you go for it and that's the most important thing, it's about you having a go. I surprised myself and arrived home with a Cheshire Cat grin.
