WK 5 R3 : drinking water works!

I completed wk 5 run 3 today which on my “program” was 30 min straight running. I was terrified before but it went really well. I’m fact it was the best workout I’ve had. I feel like the difference was that over the past 2 days I’ve drank 2L of water min a day which for me is soo hard. I really don’t drink enough water ever. But today I could feel it. My body just felt different in a good way. Less fatigued, more supple. I am still running very slow but I just wanted to encourage anyone who is struggling that drinking water may be the key.

Many congratulations on your run and thank you for emphasising the message which we spend so much time trying to get across.

Good hydration is absolutely crucial, not optional for all runners.

This really helps me, since I've always struggled drinking a lot of water. I'm the drink 1 glass a day kind of person. Definitely will give this a shot and see if it helps with my next run, thank you! ❤️

I am genuinely the same normally but I was shocked what a difference it made. I hope it works for you!

I found drinking more water helped too. It also saves carrying any and I’m not thirsty at the end. I don’t get such heavy legal at the beginning either. Well done and keep going

I was pleased to discover that tea counts too :)

Drinking water is very important for running, by the way, run 3 of week 5 is 20 minutes, not 30.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes (30) which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
