So o.k. I'm a snail. But I did it! Can't believe I'm actually doing this at all. So pleased with my determination. Slower again today but taking on board that this isn't a timed race. I'm convinced I'm walking faster than running but I am out there. Congrats to everyone else at this point too. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Snails rule! That’s how I graduated! I’m a follower of Japanese Slow Jogging, when I’m not using a podcast. Works very well for me.

I saw the video and loved the idea so have been doing my best to follow it. Tony Blackburn's golden hour sees me through 2 of the sessions. πŸ˜€ then random radio 2 for the final one of the week.

I’ve been running for over a year and still have people walk past me when I β€˜run’ uphill. That’s fine, it’s not a race, it’s a get fitter pastime, a way to feel better mentally, a way to make friends. Slow is sensible and the way forward. Literally. You are doing great, well done πŸ˜€πŸ‘

All I’ve heard is slow it down & think snail 🐌

so I now I’ve slowed down & I keep thinking snail pace is my pace & I actually do walk faster than I run πŸ˜‚ but as you say at least we are out there & off the Couch πŸ›‹ !!!

Remember we all started at W1R1 & we all said no way can I do this!! But step back & look where we all are now!

personally for me this is a massive achievement 😁 I have always dreamed of becoming a runner & now I’m on my way! I also can’t wait to give up my gym membership because being outdoors is so much better than being stuck in a gym! roll on Tenerife 2020 I’ll be packing my running kit! I’ve not long got back from a holiday there, so I know where I can run & how flat it is, so it will be steady away & I WILL be a graduate πŸŽ“ by then, so I’ll be hitting at least a good 20 -30 mins daily, I’m working on my length of running time rather than the distance. πŸ™‚
