Clearly not a graduate runner; I have a few weeks left to go for that😁
But, perhaps an NVQ level1 in running?😂
To be more serious though, the ability to run for 5 minutes at a stretch and 16 minutes total- that’s a decent improvement from struggling to get to the 1 minute mark in week 1😂
Some of this is probably due to my magical new shoes (as posted yesterday) very chuffed with them😁😁
And I’ve looked up some ankle and leg strengthening exercises to do on my days off to try and help with pronation/stability/speed.
My foot muscles are definitely weak and not what they should be for longer running- and I don’t want to find out that I should have built up some strength too late!

I don't think you can ever be too ambitious with your running goals! And it may not be as far off as you think! In just another 5 weeks you'll already be running for half an hour. 👍
You will be surprised! After completing the programme and consolidating your 30 minute runs, you will be able to build up to an hour. I'm not there yet, but on the way! Good luck
Brilliant iBard. It sounds to me as though you are preparing youself well for the forthcoming runs. I would say you are well on your way to NVQ Level 2 😀
Ok time for NVQ 2... and a good thing that you’re adding in strengthening work, that will make you less likely to be injured. Anybody else reading this who isn’t adding strengthening work... do what this guy is doing as soon as possible!
You’re doing great... don’t worry, we are here on these forums all the way to your PhD!
