Week 1, run 2

I’ve just completed run 2 and it was surprisingly easier than the first time! I suppose the fact it isn’t as hot today helped and I also slowed my pace down a bit as run 1 nearly killed me! I think I was trying to push myself too hard. I’m feeling good though. I’m glad I forced myself to get out and do it! I get really self conscious though and I think that will be my downfall! I worry about people looking at me and judging me! I don’t know why I let it bother me though! I run down the cycle track so I don’t bump into as many people. Does anyone else feel like this?

Well done so far, I always worry that someone will see me, but I’m getting better, I sometimes wear a hat and feel like I’m hiding under it, the feeling you get after a run soon puts that thought out of your head 👍

Loads of people have felt like that, a great mantra to remember is that what anyone else thinks is their problem!

In reality the few people that actually come out of their own self absorbed bubble long enough to see you either don't even care enough to form a thought, or would probably think Good on you!

Keep it up, you won't regret it 👍🏻😁

Well done 👍😀💪

I’ve just completed week 1 and like you found run 2 much easier than 1, mainly because wise heads on here gently told me to slow down!

I know what you mean about feeling people are judging you 😕 I feel like I’m going so slow people must look at me and think, “why on earth is she bothering, she looks a bit ridiculous.”

But then I think that’s a small price to pay for improving my physical and mental well-being. And I also remind myself that, actually, people probably have much better things to do than look at and judge me. And if they don’t, well, bless them, they need to get out more 😊

Enjoy the next run. We can do it! 💪😀
