After a couple of days of feeling really down, missing to start my second week yesterday and just moping around the house 🙄
I’ve dragged myself out and completed run 1 of week 2. 👍🏼
The first 90 seconds I felt really deflated and wondered how on Earth I was going to get through todays run.
After scrapping the music and finding a good podcast, taking my focus off the actual running, the boost of feel good hit me & I feel so much better after completing it.
I have no idea how I’m going to manage as it keeps stepping up a notch, but I need to remind myself how good running makes you feel and the sense of achievement after completing.
So to anyone who’s at the start of their running journey & feeling a bit “blah”... just get out there and do your run, you’ll feel so good for it!
Note to self: take own advice in a days time! 🤷🏻♀️

Really well done for getting out there! Doesnt it feel good!
Dont worry about progression. By the time you get to the next week / next run, you'll be ready. Just trust in the program and keep coming back here for help, advice and support!
If you feel like you're struggling, make sure you're drinking plenty and slow down. So long as you're going faster than a walk, you're doing it!
Full marks to you for your progress so far. You're doing really great
The slowing down bit is harder than you think. I was struggling through, thinking I was slowing down. Then, after a particularly tough run, the penny finally dropped and I really did start to slow down.
I struggle to drink as much water as I should (I'm not a fan of water unless its ice cold), but I drink a gallon of tea at work, top up with water and then drink plenty of water through the evening (and top up with red wine 🤣).
You'll be absolutely fine. I found that making myself accountable to this forum was also a great motivator. So I posted after each run. Maybe some of those old posts might help too
I agree with RM. Posting on here after each run is great for accountability. Good or bad run, we can cheer or boost as required. I can honestly say I would not have completed c25k without the support of my VRB's (virtual running budies)
Don't worry if your running pace is slower than your walking speed. This is normal 😊. Its the running action that is important.
If you complete a run then don't be afraid to move on. The program is designed to build endurance whilst minimising the risk of injury.
Believe in you! Remember you are AWESOME 😊 Happy running x
Getting out there is the hard part. I always found the first run of each week tough, trust the programme and don’t look ahead. Keep enjoying the buzz at the end of each run, it will keep you going back for more! Go slow and slower again, you’ve got this 🏃♀️ All behind you here 🤩
