1st Parkrun and 1st 5k under my belt - feeling very pleased with myself

I'm on week 7 C25K but chatted with friend during week about doing Parkrun - she said I'd be fine. So I turned up this morning and I did it! I managed to run all the way - don't know my time yet because in all the excitement I forgot to set my timer!

Update: just had time sent 37:43. I feel happy about that - wasn't a runner 7 weeks ago and not exactly a spring chicken due to the big 60 later this year. I can work on speed a second at a time. 😏 If I can do this there is hope for everyone. Thank you to all out there who got me this far. You might not have responded to any of my posts or 'liked' them but I might have read your posts and learned from or been inspired by them. πŸ‘

Well done! When I get to W9R3 I'm going to consider it done no matter what distance I cover - be proud of yourself and build up speed gradually if that's your goal. πŸ…
